Friday, October 13 will be a 2 hour early dismissal.  

There will not be a verse quiz this week. 

We will be on Spelling list 7.  

Monday:  HISTORY TEST

                Homework:  Math-Multiplication sheet 

                                     Science-Read pp 93-96 and do CC3.2 on paper 

Tuesday:  LANGUAGE QUIZ--Be able to find verb phrases.  Helping verbs are particularly easy to                       miss, so you may want to remind them to practice finding them in sentences.  

                Homework:  Language-  Do page 210 All

                                     Spelling- Copy List 7 twice  

Wednesday:  MULTIPLICATION QUIZ OVER FACTS 0-4

Thursday:  SCIENCE QUIZ-Study Sections 3.1-3.3

An example sentence: They will jump for joy if we win! 

The verb phrase in this sentence is will jump.

Also, dismissal is directly after the Grandparent's Day Activity tomorrow;  it begins at 8:45.  After the program, please bring your child to the classroom to sign out.  See you there!

 Oct. 2-6 I will post here each Friday.  Please let me know if you have any problems getting on to the Class Dojo.  Daily updates will be made there as well since it notifies you when I update.  Thanks for everyone who suggested Dojo.  :) 

Literature Fair is Tuesday.  Please sent completed projects Monday.  

Grandparents Day is Friday.  School is dismissed 2 hours early that day.

Study Helps for the week

There is a History quiz Wednesday and a Science quiz Friday.

Science is over section 2.9-2.13.  

     Be able to label a light wave:  crest, trouch, wavelength, and amplitude. 

     Know the terms luminous, volume, pitch, opaque, reflection, refraction, shadow, translucent, transmit,       transparent, and vibrate.  

History is over all of Chapter 3. 

        Know the people Thomas Jefferson, James Armistead, James Caldwell, General Cornwallis, Green             Mountain Boys, Nathanael Greene, Hessians, and John Paul Jones.

        Know the Battles of Brooklyn, Kings Mountain, Saratoga, Yorktown and Bunker Hill.

        Know the importance of the Delaware and Hudson Rivers, For Ticonderoga, The Northwest                        Territory, the Olive Branch Petition, Treaty of Paris, and Valley Forge

        Dates to remember are 1776, the year the Declaration of Independence was signed, and 1781, the                 year the American War for Independence ended.  

        Remember that France sent supplies and soldiers to help the Continental Army.
