Literature Fair is Tuesday.  Please sent completed projects Monday.  

Grandparents Day is Friday.  School is dismissed 2 hours early that day.

Tuesday:  Homework-Copy Spelling List 6 ONCE-There is no test this week.  

                                    Language P. 212 Lesson 27

                 Science Test today 

Wednesday:  Language Test today.  They need to be able to find the subject and verbs and verb phrases in sentences.  

Thursday:  Homework- Math P. 325 lesson 29. 

                                      Study for the History test which is on Monday.  

Friday: Grandparent's Day.  2 hour early out.

Study Helps for the week

There is a History quiz Wednesday and a Science quiz Friday.

Science is over section 2.9-2.13.  

     Be able to label a light wave:  crest, trouch, wavelength, and amplitude. 

     Know the terms luminous, volume, pitch, opaque, reflection, refraction, shadow, translucent, transmit,       transparent, and vibrate.  

History is over all of Chapter 3. 

        Know the people Thomas Jefferson, James Armistead, James Caldwell, General Cornwallis, Green             Mountain Boys, Nathanael Greene, Hessians, and John Paul Jones.

        Know the Battles of Brooklyn, Kings Mountain, Saratoga, Yorktown and Bunker Hill.

        Know the importance of the Delaware and Hudson Rivers, For Ticonderoga, The Northwest                        Territory, the Olive Branch Petition, Treaty of Paris, and Valley Forge

        Dates to remember are 1776, the year the Declaration of Independence was signed, and 1781, the                 year the American War for Independence ended.  

        Remember that France sent supplies and soldiers to help the Continental Army.

 September 25-29

Please get your tri-fold poster board for the Literature Fair Projects.  The requirements are being sent home.  There is no class time to complete this;  please motivate your child to finish his/her book and begin planning this weekend.  It is due on Monday, Oct. 2nd, and the actual NLCA Literature Fair will be on Tuesday, Oct. 3rd.  This is a graded assignment.  A few past examples are posted below.  

Monday:  Homework- Math pp 323-324 Lesson 21 only

                                    Finish reading your Literature Fair book and begin planning your project. 

Tuesday:  Homework- Copy Spelling list 5 twice.  

                                    Study for History quiz over chapter 3. 

                                    Science- Reread pp 71-74 Do CC 2.12 on paper

Wednesday:  History Quiz over ch. 3

                    

Thursday:  History-Pp 75-76 Sections A-B    They need to do section C on p. 76 only.  

                    Copy missed spelling words 3 times each.  

                    Trial Spelling Test today

                    Study Science 2.6-2.13 for tomorrow's quiz. 

Friday:  This weekend, please complete your Literature Fair project if you haven't already.  I can't wait to see what everyone creates!  :)

We are low on lifesavers!  The boys and girls love the orange ones! (I may also like them, 😏)    If you are at the store and would like to pick some up, please do. I give out lots of lifesavers since the boys and girls are always doing great things! 

Grandparent's Day is Friday Oct. 6th.  Parents and Grandparents are invited to come to the new gym at 9 a.m. to walk through our History showcase.
