 1/29- 2/2  We have time everyday to begin homework in school.  If your child is bringing home work that becomes overwhelming, please reach out to me.  It could be possible that they are not using their independent work time efficiently.  

*Young Writers essay rough draft is due by Tuesday, January 30th. Start it is weekend.  It must be 301-500 words on any topic they would like to write a story about.  I will help them revise their draft, and the final copy will be due Friday, February 2nd.  I am sending my grading rubric home this weekend so that you can see exactly how they will be scored.  This is a test grade in Language class.  

*Book Report books need to be read by Monday, February 5th.  During the week of the 5th, we will write book reports.  This is a grade in both Reading and Language class.  


Homework Schedule: 

Monday- Read in Road Trip East (RE) pp 64-76 and in your book report book. 

                Copy Spelling List 17 twice.  Do not forget to copy the vocabulary words once.  

                Science-Finish page 317-319.  Practice ecosystem speech and study for test.  Quizlet link                             below.  

                Finish Young Writers draft.  

Tuesday- Science Test today. 

                Math P. 346 L. 90

                Begin final copy of Young Writers.  Final copy is due Friday.          

                Language P. 236 L. 90

Thursday- Trial Spelling Test today

                    Language- Pp 237-238 L. 93

                    Copy missed Spelling words 3 times each.  

                    Science- Do p. 336 7.3 on paper. 

                    Finish final copy of your young writers essay.

Friday- Spelling Test today

                Finish reading your book report book. 

                Science- Read pp 342-345. Do p. 345 7.5 on paper. 

***Watch for homework changes daily.  

Remember, the week of February 5th is spirit week!  There are details posted in a past blog, as well as on the NLCA website.
