Ecosystem Diorama

Due Wednesday January 31

The class has been put into groups of 2 and assigned an ecosystem to construct a diorama that represents their designated environment. 

Requirements:

·         Shoebox or clear box designed to show the living and non-living parts of their ecosystem.  I do not recommend glass. 

·         5 flashcards using the dark print words from their assigned section.

·         Answer the comprehension questions at the end of their section on a separate sheet.

·         Write a 2-minute speech describing their project. 

We will construct the box here at school, but it will require some work to be done at home.    In their groups, they will need to come up with a plan of how they want their diorama to look and who is responsible for each aspect of the project.  EVERYONE must answer the comprehension questions on their own sheet of paper, but the speech, diorama, and flashcards will be completed together. 

I am including a few pictures of examples.  They do not have to be fancy if they include the correct parts of their ecosystem.
