Welcome to 2024!  

Here are a few announcements to get us started: 

We are on Spelling list 14 and are only testing on the words.  We are NOT doing the vocabulary this week.  

The trial test is Thursday and the test is Friday.  

There will be a quiz in Science on Thursday over section 5.1-5.5 and in History on Friday over Chapter 10. 

For history, they need to know each inventor and their invention in the sections listed.  They need to know the description of the following:  horizon, hill, peak, valley, geyser, plain and isthmus.  Use page 502 to study.  

Also, know the following definitions:  industry p. 239, patent p. 248, Model T p. 247, Labor laws p. 255, Progressive Movement p. 257, and Subway system p 256;  as well as what happened in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina p. 252.  

Our Spelling Bee is on January 17th.
